• The System Integration Engineer requires at least Administrator-level knowledge, but does not conduct normal Administrator job functions
• Integrate software into the test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers; support System Test events by operating suites
• Operate and troubleshoot systems during test events and integration activities
• Work with external personnel to resolve test lab issues; work with Operations and Sustainment as well as Level-II support personnel to resolve installation and processing issues
• Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files; perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; troubleshoot both test and operational issues; document test results and prepare test status documentation
• Read test plan documents and procedures; create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
• Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities
• Participate in integration tests with external elements and sensors; review and provide feedback of system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary

Position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC but sometimes multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g., EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required. Ability to travel is a requirement.   

Experience Required

    • Minimum of 1 year of system/network administration experience with a Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant information technology certifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree minimum in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical discipline
    • Active IAT-Level 2 required (60 days after start may be considered)
    • Secret Clearance Required to start

Technical Skills Required

    • Knowledge of administration in at least one of these three domains: Networking, Linux, and/or Windows
    • The desire to conduct complex troubleshooting by analyzing proprietary application logs, firewall policies, and interface documentation
    • Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks is a plus
    • Prior integration and test experience with program is a plus
    • Experience with Agile Methods, and Capability and Feature definition is a plus
$90,000 - $105,000 a year
