Senior Product Manager

Full-time /
We’re on the look out for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join Tracksuit.

Come and join a start-up that’s backed by product legend Lenny Rachitsky, founder of Lenny’s Podcast and Lenny’s Newsletter.

In Lenny’s words: “Across the thousands of startup decks I've looked at, I've almost never seen a growth trajectory like the growth Tracksuit has seen.”

We are primarily looking for:
- Someone based in Auckland, where our product and engineering function is based.
- Someone who has 2 – 3 years experience working as a Product Manager in a SaaS business.

This role will be focused on owning the customer journey: looking at the way people purchase, set-up, onboard, upsell and renew Tracksuit.

Why Tracksuit?
As one of ANZs fastest growing startups, we've hand-picked a world-class team of kind, ambitious, generous, and smart humans.

At only 3 years old, we're incredibly grateful and excited to be working with over 350 epic brands across NZ, AU, the US and UK, like frank body, Bailey Nelson, Disney Plus, MyFitnessPal, Sharesies, Bondi Sands and more.

Our vision is to be used in every strategic growth conversation for the best consumer brands of today and tomorrow. We’re doing this by becoming the common language to measure, understand and communicate the value of brand building.

We've built beautiful, always-on, radically affordable brand tracking — taking an old-school, $100k+ market research product and making it 10x easier to use and 10x more affordable.

We’re still a small Product and Engineering team with x2 Product managers, x2 Designers and x12 Engineers. When you join our team, it means you’ll have a huge impact on the culture, ways of working and the overall trajectory of Tracksuit.

In particular, you’ll be working closely with Senior Product Manager (Laura), Head of Product (Harry), Product Design Lead (Ams), and Senior Product Designer (Zara). We’re a bit biased BUT, they are pretty rad team and have built a special product culture:
- We don’t have a roadmap dictated to us: we’re empowered to find the problems that are worth solving
- We have a joint partnership with design and engineering: we believe the best outcomes come from bringing in design and engineering early, getting them close to the problem (not just the solution)
- We’re big believers in making the process fun: we may or may not have recorded one of our recent product release updates in Shrek + Donkey costumes
- We speak to our customers regularly, putting them at the heart of all of our decisions
- We ship regularly and iterate quickly

Last year, we:
- Scaled from ~3m ARR to ~9m ARR
- Launched in AU, UK, and USScaled the Product / Engineering team from 6 to 16
- Completely refreshed our entire app’s UI to address major pain points
- Used AI and LLMs to take our data and turn it into actionable insights marketers can actually use
- Launched reporting + sharing features to make it easier to share Tracksuit’s data
- Launched our first API

What are we looking for?
We want to hear from people with at least 2 – 3 years commercial experience working as Product Manager in a SaaS business who is inquisitive, entrepreneurial and empathetic:
- Is focused on having an impact on business results — not just shipping features
- Is comfortable talking to customers and running a discovery process
- Is comfortable working in a start-up environment
- Has an eye for beautiful, simple UX
- Bonus points if you’ve done work improving a customer journey

You’ll be responsible for:
- Being the voice of the customer: working closely with our customers to understand how we can better create value for our customers
- Finding the most valuable problems to solve
- Working with design and engineering to deliver solutions
- Product strategy: owning the strategic direction of where we take the customer journey
- Product roadmapping: Bringing that strategy to life
- Building relationships across other business functions
- Communicating and inspiring others to work towards a clear, compelling vision
- Using data to generate actionable insights that can be leveraged to achieve your product goals
- Using competitor insights to inform our product strategy
