Are you Tracksuit's new Senior Data Engineer?
In this critical role, you'll collaborate with our diverse global teams to build robust scalable data capabilities integral to the Product Team and the broader Tracksuit organisation. Data accuracy and integrity are the core to everything we do - our customers trust our data and we rely on you to uphold that trust.
In this role, you'll engage closely with our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Engineers and Product Managers across our international offices as well as virtually every other internal function, shaping the quality and strategic direction of our data operations on a global scale.
As our Senior Data Engineer, you'll specifically be responsible for:
- Acting as a lead data authority, ensuring exceptional data quality reliability and accuracy
- Managing, scaling & continuously enhancing our core survey data platform particularly as Tracksuit expands globally
- Developing innovative ways to leverage our extensive survey data, adding measurable value for customers
- Maintaining and enhancing our data integrations with internal and external systems ensuring seamless global data flow and accessibility
- Collaborating closely with internal teams across multiple regions to design, develop and implement self-service data products hat meet complex internal business requirements
- Mentoring junior team members, establishing robust data engineering practices, and shaping the future of our growing global data capabilities
That's the role - who are you?
- You'll have a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in designing, developing and managing large-scale data warehouse using AWS cloud (specifically Redshift & Snowflake), advanced ETL, ELT pipeline development and SQL performance optimisation
- Proven expertise in advanced SQL and cloud data infrastructure, specifically AWS ecosystem tools including AWS Redshift, AWS Glue and Snowflake
- Strong experience in modern data transformation tools e.g. DEB, Spark
- Strong understanding and experience in different data modelling techniques to adopt in solving different problems e.g. dimensional modelling, data vault etc.
- Demonstrated mastery in data architecture, specifically in designing highly efficient, scalable data models that align with intricate global business demands
- Strong experience using Infrastructure-as-Code to automate and manage data infrastructure.
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to mentor, communicate clearly, and contribute positively to our inclusive, fast-paced global work environment.
- Passionate about data and understand its vital role in strategic branding and market success.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, DataScience, Environmental Geoscience, Information Technology, or closely related analytical field
$165,000 - $195,000 a year
