We are seeking a creative and strategic Head of Merchandising to develop and manage Tradeify's branded merchandise strategy, from designing compelling swag and promotional items to building and operating our merchandise store. You will be responsible for creating merchandise that strengthens our brand identity, engages our trading community, and serves as powerful marketing tools for events, partnerships, and trader retention. This is an exciting opportunity to build a merchandise program from the ground up and create tangible brand experiences that resonate with our trading community. You'll report directly to the COO, CEO and Director of Marketing.

The Opportunity
- Merchandise Strategy & Development: Design and execute a comprehensive merchandise strategy that aligns with Tradeify's brand identity and appeals to our target audience of serious traders and trading enthusiasts.
- Product Design & Sourcing: Lead the creative process for developing high-quality branded merchandise including apparel, accessories, tech items, office supplies, and unique trading-themed products that traders will actually want to use and wear.
- E-commerce Store Management: Build, launch, and manage Tradeify's online merchandise store, including product catalog management, inventory planning, order fulfillment, and customer service operations.
- Event & Promotional Merchandise: Develop targeted merchandise for trading conferences, webinars, partnerships, and special events, ensuring we have compelling giveaways and promotional items that make lasting impressions.
- Trader Rewards & Recognition: Create exclusive merchandise programs for top-performing traders, milestone achievements, and community engagement initiatives that enhance trader loyalty and motivation.
- Vendor Relationships: Establish and manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and fulfillment partners to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliable delivery of merchandise.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure all merchandise aligns with Tradeify's visual identity, brand guidelines, and quality standards while exploring creative applications of our branding.
- Inventory Management: Develop inventory planning and management systems to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure product availability for both retail sales and promotional needs.
- Performance Analytics: Track merchandise sales, promotional effectiveness, and customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings and identify new opportunities.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the merchandise budget, balancing quality, cost, and marketing impact to maximize ROI on merchandise investments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in merchandise management, retail operations, or brand marketing with a strong portfolio of successful product launches and brand merchandise programs.
- Strong design sensibility with experience working with graphic designers, manufacturers, and print vendors to bring creative concepts to life.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) and understanding of online retail operations including inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple merchandise projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Understanding of apparel and promotional product industries, including manufacturing processes, quality standards, and cost structures.
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for what resonates with target audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to build processes and systems from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to haves
- Experience in fintech, trading, or financial services industries with understanding of trader culture and preferences.
- Background in fashion, apparel design, or consumer products with experience bringing physical products to market.
- Knowledge of sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices and suppliers.
- Experience with subscription box or membership-based merchandise programs.
- Understanding of promotional marketing and how merchandise integrates with broader marketing campaigns.
$65,000 - $85,000 a year
Position: Head of Merchandising
Reports to: COO, CEO, Director of Marketing
Base Salary: $65,000 - $85,000/yr USD
Bonus Potential: Up to $40,000/yr
