We are seeking a creative and hands-on Merchandise Manager to develop and manage Tradeify's branded merchandise program. Your primary focus will be on building and managing our online store, creating compelling swag for our trading community, and coordinating prizes and promotional items. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of creating merchandise that strengthens our brand identity, engages our traders, and serves as a powerful marketing tool. This is an exciting opportunity to build a merchandise program from the ground up and create tangible brand experiences that resonate with our community. You'll report directly to the Director of Marketing.

This Merchandise Manager role is key to that mission, helping us connect with our traders in new and exciting ways.


The Opportunity

    • Merchandise Strategy & Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive merchandise strategy that aligns with Tradeify's brand identity and marketing goals, focusing on our target audience of serious traders.
    • Product Design & Sourcing: Lead the creative process for developing high-quality branded merchandise including apparel, accessories, tech items, and unique trading-themed products that traders will want to use and wear.
    • E-commerce Store Management: Build, launch, and manage Tradeify's online merchandise store, including product catalog management, inventory planning, order fulfillment logistics, and customer service.
    • Event & Promotional Merchandise: Coordinate targeted merchandise for trading conferences, webinars, and special events, ensuring we have compelling giveaways and promotional items that make a lasting impression.
    • Trader Rewards & Prizes: Create and manage exclusive merchandise programs for top-performing traders, milestone achievements, and community engagement initiatives that enhance trader loyalty and motivation.
    • Vendor Management: Establish and manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and fulfillment partners to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliable delivery.
    • Brand Consistency: Ensure all merchandise aligns with Tradeify's visual identity, brand guidelines, and quality standards.
    • Inventory Management: Develop and maintain an inventory management system to optimize stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure product availability for both sales and promotional needs.
    • Performance Analytics: Track merchandise sales, promotional effectiveness, and customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings and identify new opportunities.
    • Budget Management: Develop and manage the merchandise budget, balancing quality, cost, and marketing impact to maximize ROI.

Qualifications

    • Proven experience in merchandise management, e-commerce operations, or brand marketing with a portfolio of successful product launches or merchandise programs.
    • Strong design sensibility with experience collaborating with graphic designers and manufacturers to bring creative concepts to life.
    • Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and a solid understanding of online retail operations.
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
    • Understanding of the apparel and promotional product industries, including manufacturing processes, quality standards, and cost structures.
    • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
    • A keen eye for detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.
    • Self-starter with the ability to build processes and systems from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to haves

    • Experience in fintech, trading, or financial services industries with an understanding of trader culture.
    • Background in fashion, apparel design, or consumer products.
    • Knowledge of sustainable and ethical manufacturing practices.
    • Experience with subscription box or membership-based merchandise programs.
$65,000 - $85,000 a year
Position: Head of Merchandise
Reports to: COO, CEO, Director of Marketing
Base Salary: $65,000 - $85,000/yr USD
Bonus Potential: Up to $40,000/yr
