This role provides a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on how consumers sell their cars on our Marketplace. Reporting directly to the Director of Product, Commercial, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager to be part of a transformative one-year contract with our team. As a versatile leader, you will wear multiple hats to drive the successful development and delivery of new products and reinforce our strong commercial portfolio. Your responsibilities will include: 
 
Product Management: 
• Grasp the broader picture, understanding the commercial implications of design and technical decisions. 
• Balance the needs of car shoppers and dealers when making recommendations.
• Use feedback from internal and external stakeholders, analytics, and market research to guide your products. 
• Works with sales, GTM and operations teams to coordinate “go to market” activities to ensure smooth launches.
• Conducts research and benchmarking techniques to optimize product strategy and performance.
• Ability to translate impact and effort analysis into convincing product prioritization
• Enjoy presenting to internal audiences about your product vision and roadmap.
• Lead activities such as PRDs, process mapping, story mapping, estimating and writing effective epics, stories and acceptance criteria.
 
We are looking for a candidate who loves product management, loves delivering high-quality products to consumers and customers (i.e., dealers), and cares about their colleagues. While we identify a preferred skillset below that we believe the ideal candidate should have, we would like to hear from all candidates who are passionate about what the role entails and have transferable skills.

• Ability to work with multiple teams to coordinate and prioritize efforts
• Ability to manage a large-scale project with tight deadlines
• Strong creative problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new products and technologies
• Good track record of delivering on time
• Strong knowledge of online B2C businesses
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills, including comfort with presenting to executives and management
 
Preferred Experience:
• University degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business, Finance or another relevant field of study. 
• 5 or more years of Product Management, Product Ownership, and Technical Product Management work experience. 
• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, and writing.
• Solid understanding of working with consumer products, especially marketplaces, on websites and mobile applications.
• Experience delivering complex product initiatives that span across teams and business units.
• Experience successfully launching products commercially.
• Project Management experience is helpful, but keep in mind this is a product – not project – management role.
• Experience in the automotive industry is not required but would be considered an asset. 
• Startup and coding experience is always valued.
