Summary of Job
This is a senior analyst position responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial plans and budget. Analyze financial and operational data and build financial models. Review period-end financial performances and explain significant variances to plan.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation of financial plans and budget
Work closely with other members of the finance team and prepare of financial information and related analyses in order to prepare annual financial budgets and quarterly re-forecast
- Financial analysis & Business Partnering
Analyze financial and operational data, assess trends, and identify risks. Build financial models to help management predict outcomes for business decisions. Work closely with Sales & Marketing, GTM and Pricing to drive value-add for the AutoTrader Marketplace business
- Review financial performances and prepare management reports
Compare financial performance to target and prepare weekly and monthly reports that enable management teams to be informed and make sound strategic decisions to meet business needs
- Business Case Development, as required
Work closely with the Line of Business leaders to develop business cases for key strategic initiatives by providing financial advice to the Marketplace leadership team. This candidate will also assess impact to the P&L and provide updates on risks and opportunities

Education, Experience and Technical skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
- Experience with ERP systems (R)
- Strong proficiency in Excel (R) and Power BI (A)
- Accounting designation or near completion (CPA) (R)
- Post-secondary education; university degree or college diploma in accounting (R)
Required Soft Skills and Competencies
- Deadline and timeline driven
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to manage large set of data and distill key highlights to non-finance audience
- Strong data collection and analytical skills
- Quick learner and ability to take ownership of key tasks
