With a focus on driving sales growth and managing account relationships, the APT Account Manager is responsible for the entire customer journey from prospecting new accounts to sales order management. Assists APT customers with the selection of appliances based on their needs and wants through a consultative sales approach and supports the customer during and after their purchase. Responsible for expert level knowledge of the variety of products and services offered by Trail Appliances. 

As an Apartment Replacement Account Manager, you will:

    • Work with MF DSM on strategic account acquisition 
    • Participate in the upkeep of Sales and Product Knowledge Training  
    • Qualify customer needs and make recommendations based on info provided   
    • Collect payment as per Trail Payment guide  
    • Explain and confirm details related to pick up or delivery requirements  
    • Communicate Inventory Availability and set realistic expectations  
    • Create and Maintain customer price lists 
    • Liaise with the purchasing team to maintain adequate inventory min/max levels for core product  
    • Follow up with customers, including post delivery 
    • Maintain a sound understanding of Manufacture Rebate and Program Knowledge 
    • Attend industry events as required (CHF and BC Housing)

To be successful in this role, you should:

    • Have 3-5 years of successful retail or B2B sales experience. 
    • Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks  
    • Collaborate with internal departments  
    • Problem-solve and handle customer inquiries and concerns 
    • Have the ability to communicate with wide/diverse variety of people 
    • Have proven ability to deliver sales growth, set objectives and achieve them 
    • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software 
    • Have the ability to work evenings, weekends and additional hours when required 
    • Have the Appliance knowledge but not mandatory 

Work Environment

    • Works primarily out of our Cloverdale location 
    • Offsite meetings with trade partners 
    • Offsite sales division meetings
