TRANSFR creates job-training simulations in virtual reality designed by each industry that teaches novices in the same manner that experts master their crafts - through trial and error. We are looking for a VR Training Product Manager to help bring new product lines to our customers to enable young people to build the skills they need to get on a career path and achieve a well paying job. Our Product Managers conduct extensive market research and synthesize customer problems into requirements for our product roadmaps. The Product Manager will work creatively and pragmatically to develop business cases and build compelling proposals to take new features to market. Knowledge of key demographics and an innovative perspective on product development are important in this role

The Product Manager will work directly with industry experts, our customers, and our design and development teams to create and deliver quality simulation based training that exceeds customer and internal quality expectations on time and on budget. 

Responsibilities:

    • Defines product requirements with each customer.
    • Organizes product, development, and delivery requirements for budgeting and planning.
    • Collaborate to define the product strategy and roadmap through demand analyses by identifying potential early adopters and industry influencers and conducting interviews.
    • Ensures customer feedback is evaluated and incorporated into the product before and after launch. 
    • Prioritizes features & proposed solutions across content and platform.
    • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
    • Work closely with sales enablement, marketing, and development  teams to ensure product line goals are met. 
    • Own and report on product line business cases and profitability.
    • Communicate with subject matter experts to ensure the details/standards are met to meet customer needs. 
    • Coordinates and communicates both externally with clients and internally with team management and Client Services.
    • Verifies that simulations and features meet industry expectations.

Requirements:

    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management or product marketing (preferred in a learning product/training development environment)                          
    • Experience defining and delivering on a product road-map
    • Venture backed start-up and Saas experience preferred 
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and solutions at any level of an organization
    • Ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and scope business requirements
    • Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
    • Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion
    • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with creativity, independence and high standards 
    • Self-motivation is key to this position
    • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
    • Demonstrated ability to establish objectives, identify problems, analyze data and creatively deliver solutions 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good sense of humor! 

Preferred Qualifications:

    • CTE / Workforce / Healthcare training experience is preferred
    • Experience working with academic institutions and industry leaders
