Task
For our growing team in Geneva, we are looking to hire several computational engineers who contribute to building the digital twin of START (Subcritical Transmuting Accelerated Reactor Technology), a simulation software representing an accelerator-driven small modular power plant. As such, you are part of the company's software unit reporting to its head Dr. Patricia Mendez Lorenzo, participate in the specification, design, and implementation of code infrastructures into the Transmutex software stack and take responsibility for developing virtualization architectures and products.

Requirements
If you know programming techniques and languages (object-oriented and parallel programming, C++, Linux operating systems, shell scripting), have experience and strong knowledge of simulation toolkits applied to nuclear physics (Geant4, MCNP, Fluka, Serpent) and are capable of adapting software services and platforms for virtualization infrastructures (re-use, refactoring, integration and porting), we look forward to receiving your application by September 15. Knowledge of French would be an advantage. Starting date: asap

Company
Transmutex is a Geneva-based company founded in 2019. We are backed by some of the leading venture capital firms in the U.S. and Europe to deliver a solution to the worrying problem of long-lived nuclear waste.
Based on the innovative combination of particle accelerators and Thorium fuel, we are developing a breakthrough energy process that will be intrinsically safe, will reduce the stockpile of long-lived waste, be resistant to military proliferation, and be cost competitive.
We have partnered with the most respected research centers and industry players in the world to deliver the first plant within a decade. By joining Transmutex you would be part of an elite team of excellence, driven by purpose and focused on delivery. Integrity, creativity and teamwork are our core values.
