Summit Bodyworks is a premier builder of tool trucks, mobile libraries, moving trucks and other specialty vehicles. Every truck we build is customized from the chassis up; we build our vehicles to suit the needs and desires of our diverse customer base, from fortune 100 companies to independent owner operators. We are a growing team looking for a Fabrication Coordinator. In this position the Fabrication Coordinator will work closely with our sub assembly team to ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Managing and Balancing Sub Assembly Work Orders vs Project work Orders
    • Scheduling Sub Assembly
    • Inventory and bill of material Balancing
    • Updating standard sub assembly labor, materials, and cost
    • Works directly with Project Managers and Fabrication managers
    • Works with the progressions of routing
    • All other Duties as assigned by the manager

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

    • Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
    • Climbing in and out of vehicles.
    • Occasional stooping and bending.
    • Split duties of Office and Production Floor.
    • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs.
    • Normal range of hearing and vision

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
    • Preferred experience Manufacturing with one piece workflow and batching
    • Scheduling Sub Assemblers
    • Monitoring Budgets
    • Management skills (Projects and people)
    • Previous experience in ERP Software
    • Fabrication experience a plus
    • Mechanical Knowledge.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with different functional areas within the company and drive progress.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects is a must. 
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization in a team-oriented environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic and a great attitude!
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening
