Technology Department is one of the most important teams at Trendyol which is future-oriented, fast-growing and technology enthusiast company. Software Development Team builds scalable, high performing platforms for our customer satisfaction by using up-to-date and efficient technologies. In the end, we are all working towards the same goal: to create an excellent experience for our customers at Trendyol.

Qualities We Are Looking For

    • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in relevant industries.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of data storage technologies, including SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network-Attached Storage), and S3.
    • Proficient in designing and managing data storage infrastructure, with hands-on experience in data replication and RAID configurations.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to deliver timely and effective technical support.
    • Capable of planning and executing Proof of Concept (POC) processes, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
    • Demonstrated ability to proactively communicate potential risks or anticipated issues to relevant teams and leadership.
    • Hands-on experience with Commvault backup and data recovery solutions is considered an advantage.
    • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Experience with automation using Linux shell scripting (Bash, Python); ability to streamline backup and storage operations through scripting.
    • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible is a plus.
    • Experience with cloud storage and backup solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Backup) is a strong plus.

Your Main Responsibilities

    • Plan, implement, and manage the company’s data backup processes.
    • Create and enforce backup policies; conduct regular checks to prevent data loss.
    • Establish, monitor, and optimize the performance of the data storage infrastructure.
    • Develop disaster recovery plans for potential data loss scenarios, and ensure these plans are regularly tested.
    • Work with data security and backup software (e.g., Cohesity, CommVault, Netbackup) to ensure data protection.
    • Maintain and manage storage devices (NAS, SAN, S3, etc.).
    • Troubleshoot storage and backup issues and provide technical support when needed.
    • Monitor patch levels of storage devices and backup applications.
    • Analyze and report on storage and backup system performance.
    • Install and manage Linux OS (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu).
    • Manage and maintain storage systems  (e.g., NetApp, IBM, Pure Storage).
    • Experienced with SAN switch configurations is a plus.

We offer a hybrid model that combines the productivity of remote work with the bonding and collaboration of in-office work. Teams are expected to work from our offices on designated days each week, fostering team spirit, creativity and cross team collaboration as part of our culture.

We also provide a summer working model, with a two-month fully remote work opportunity during July and  August.

The hybrid working model only applies to hybrid roles; on-site roles require regular office presence.
