TRI’s Information Technology team implements the tools and infrastructure necessary to support our fast-growing and dedicated team of experts. As a Senior member of IT and Core Engineering, you will help our internal customers design and implement complex software and hardware engineering tools to enable their groundbreaking research, while mentoring our junior team members and resolving escalation within our service level agreements (SLA). We are looking for top performing IT professionals who have broad-based experience building infrastructures and supporting software/hardware engineering and research teams. The successful candidate thrives in multifaceted, fast-paced environments, and quickly adapts to learn the newest technologies. The ideal candidate will have technical depth in multiple focus areas while maintaining an IT generalist mentality. 

Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with software engineers, roboticists, electrical and mechanical engineers, and scientists to test and implement tools to further the TRI mission.
    • Provide customer facing support within a hybrid workforce to users throughout the organization and of all skill levels.
    • Support the cloud-centric ecosystem that TRI is building.
    • Support the integration of Software as a Service applications with cloud and on-premise systems.
    • Maintain the availability and security of infrastructure through routine maintenance and patching of systems.
    • Collaborate with a distributed IT team and other members of Core Engineering in Cambridge, MA and Los Altos, CA.

Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in a related position.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • Experience supporting Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (ADD) based environments.
    • Hands-on experience supporting Okta based SSO.
    • Experience automating, integrating, and managing cloud-based services (G-suite, O365, ServiceNow, etc).
    • Experience supporting, managing, and maintaining Ubuntu Linux, MacOS, and Windows operating systems and endpoints.
    • Well-practiced in managing vSphere environments, Storage Arrays (Pure Storage preferred).

Bonus Qualifications

    • Experience managing application and infrastructure integration and automation Security.
    • Hands-on experience managing firewalls and security infrastructures including - On-Prem and AWS based PALO firewalls, Global Protect Gateways, Juniper QFX, EX switches (L2 & L3) etc.
