We are seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Engineer to join our team. This person will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining the user-facing applications of Trial Library’s suite of solutions to accelerate clinical trial recruitment. This role will be responsible for building intuitive and performant interfaces across our technology stack, ensuring a seamless user experience for clinical trial search and other user-facing applications. This position is critical to maintaining the highest quality standards as we work towards our company mission.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces for our web applications.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate mockups into functional interfaces.
- Collaborate with product designers and backend engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with product designers and backend engineers to ensure optimal user experience and integrate frontend components with API services.
- Implement and maintain robust frontend testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices.
- Work with healthcare and clinical trial data, exercising a practical understanding of industry best practices (e.g., HIPAA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in frontend software development.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Babel) and package managers (e.g., npm, yarn).
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Experience with MUI and styled components is a plus.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Strong UI/UX sensibilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with healthcare tech or clinical trials is a significant plus.
- Respect for compliance and privacy requirements in healthcare (e.g. HIPAA).
