SUMMARY
In this role you will help manage and spearhead innovation efforts across the company. Your job will be to act as a concept strategist, designer and prototype creator, working with industry-leading clients in the entertainment, retail and education sectors. You will play a prominent role in the day-to-day efforts of Trigger’s XR Innovation team and be a leading player across all key projects you are associated to - helping to set creative direction, develop project strategies, inform resourcing decisions and guide other team members towards success. You will bring your expertise in XR and innovation to be a thought leader for the industry, and someone who evangelizes specific XR approaches and philosophies to elevate the work Trigger does now and into the future.

Requirements

    • Proficient in iterative UI/UX design, including sketches, wireframes, concept, and feature development in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
    • Experience prototyping for and collaborating on spatial/immersive design problems (VR, AR, game design, etc.)
    • Experience with rapid prototyping, with a good intuition and communication in making time vs. complexity tradeoffs
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
    • Excellent visual, communication, and presentation skills to help others understand design rationale and product decisions
    • Attention to detail, creativity, and passion
    • 2+ years of experience in a position with skills transferrable to this role

Executional Responsibilities

    • Employ Design Thinking capabilities throughout daily work as part of our practice to solve client, project and company challenges - supporting and pushing user-centric design approaches where applicable
    • Setup and facilitate internal workshops and drive ideation within the company in various capacities
    • Lead client conversations, meetings and workshops in collaboration with other departments and innovation team members
    • Develop concept pitches, thought-leadership overviews and early design / conceptual documents to support our new business efforts - both through solo effort and by supporting other team members in the creation of these materials
    • Develop design documents, visual overviews, high-level UX approaches and thought-leadership overviews through Discovery projects - setting a high standard for work output and presentation
    • Help to continually monitor and update core process documents - such as planning, design and innovation templates, etc

Directional Setting requirements

    • Co-Lead projects with members from other teams
    • Setting creative direction, project goals and helping to develop project strategies to help ensure the highest level of project & client success
    • Creatively lead and manage innovation team members on a day-to-day, project-by-project basis - supporting with resource allocations, guiding individual creative efforts and providing ongoing feedback to design and innovation outputs from those team members
    • Help lead creative discussions and continue direction setting through the course of software development and app production where needed
    • Co-lead and manage regular design and innovation processes such as concept art development, resource planning and allocation, company-wide planning meetings, etc.
    • Support with sourcing and briefing external vendors where necessary to support projects
    • Help lead and manage Discovery projects - pushing the innovation agenda and being a go-to person in relation to the mindset we apply to innovation projects
