TripleCare is seeking Geriatric, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Hospitalists for a Telemedicine Moonlighting Opportunity
Position Highlights:

- Help acutely-ill patients in skilled nursing facilities avoid unnecessary hospitalizations
Hours: Nightly, one week a month
- Monday-Thursday 6pm-7am each night
- Friday from 6pm through until 7am Monday morning
- During their shifts physicians are expected to be on-call for video consults as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical coverage after-hours to critically ill patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities preventing, where possible, unnecessary hospitalizations
- Respond to calls from your home utilizing an innovative HIPAA-compliant telemedicine device and engage appropriately with nursing staff
- Perform bedside assessment as indicated
- Provide appropriate orders
- Document care after the patient episode
- Work with other physicians and staff to resolve clinical issues or concerns
Qualifications:
- Board-Certified in either Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Family Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years practicing in either of aforementioned disciplines
- Experience working in a nursing facility in providing Medical Director services is preferred, but not required
- Experience and comfortable in discussing Advanced Directives, comfort care and end-of-life care is required
- Experience engaging with nurses and teaching where necessary
- Caring for acutely ill patients
- Licensed in appropriate State
- Additional State licenses preferred, but not essential
Technology Requirements:
- Windows-based computer and high-speed internet required.
- Computer literacy and the capability of working in a technologically-enabled practice
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records
