Matrix New World is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Specialist who desires a challenging career to join our well-established team of Environmental Scientists and Land Surveying professionals to participate assist in projects throughout the Gulf Coast. 

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and technologically savvy individual with the vision and drive to apply state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to a wide range of biological, ecological, land surveying, and geospatial projects. The technical specialist will possess the experience to interpret and analyze field data for the preparation of technical reports.


What you'll do

    • The technical specialist will be responsible for preparing biological, ecological, and regulatory reports including, but may not be limited to:
    • Wetland Data Reports
    • Threatened & Endangered Species Reports
    • Monitoring Reports
    • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 10/404 Permit Applications
    • Alternative Sites Analyses
    • Department of Natural Resources Coastal Use Permit Applications
    • Department of Environmental Quality Water Quality Certification Requests
    • Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans

Minimum Experience

    • 6+ years of field experience
    • Must be a self-starter and with the ability to work independently if required.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
    • Excellent technical writingand oral communication skills

    • Attention to detail along with strong organizational skills
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and aptitude
    • Positive attitude; good interpersonal skills
    • Strong team-player skills.
