As a Senior Web Developer on TrueTandem’s Digital Modernization team, you will play a key role in advancing the mission by developing, enhancing, and maintaining public-facing and internal websites.

Role and Responsibilities
· Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements across DOJ’s Drupal 11 web ecosystem.
· Modernize and optimize legacy .NET and static sites, migrating content into Drupal-based CMS environments.
· Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks, including Behat, Gherkin, and AI-driven visual regression testing (pixel comparison).
· Collaborate with UX/UI, accessibility, and content teams to ensure full Section 508/WCAG 2.1 compliance and consistent user experience across all DOJ properties.
· Implement and maintain integrations with enterprise systems (M365, SharePoint, Azure/AWS services, APIs).
· Monitor and optimize performance using New Relic, Splunk, and Akamai content delivery networks.
· Manage configuration management and CI/CD pipelines via Git, Composer, and automated deployment tools in a secure federal environment.
· Participate in Agile sprint cycles, feature refinement sessions, and continuous improvement meetings.
· Provide mentoring and code reviews to ensure maintainable, test-driven, and secure codebases.
Required Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 5+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions on Drupal 8–11.
· Strong expertise in Drupal core APIs, custom module development, and theming.
· Proficiency in PHP, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (React, Vue, or jQuery).
· Experience with Behat/Gherkin testing, Composer, Drush, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
· Familiarity with cloud-based hosting (Akamai CDN, Acquia Cloud, Pantheon) and security management in FedRAMP environments.
· Working knowledge of AI-assisted testing tools and/or search optimization frameworks.
· Demonstrated understanding of federal accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG 2.1.
· Proven ability to troubleshoot site performance, scalability, and security challenges.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proactive and detail-oriented in fast-paced team environments.
Preferred Skills
· Experience supporting federal Drupal modernization programs, especially DOJ, DHS, or HHS.
· Familiarity with AWS Kendra or other AI-powered search solutions.
· Understanding of SharePoint Online or Power Platform integration within hybrid M365 ecosystems.
· Experience with automated regression, performance, and accessibility testing using modern frameworks.
· Knowledge of firewall management, certificate renewals, and cloud-based security monitoring.
· Active DOJ or federal agency clearance.
