Project Overview:
This role supports mission-critical digital transformation at the U.S. Coast Guard by delivering secure, scalable enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. As part of an agile, DevSecOps-focused delivery team, you’ll shape technical strategy and architecture for a modern platform that drives efficiency, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
Role Summary:
The Technical Lead – Solution Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for designing and delivering enterprise applications on Microsoft Power Platform. In this role, you will shape platform strategy, define technical architecture, and lead delivery execution—while mentoring developers and ensuring alignment with client needs and cloud-native best practices.
You’ll work on high-impact government transformation projects in a collaborative, agile environment that embraces DevSecOps, modern tooling, and continuous improvement. Our teams are curious, adaptable, and passionate about solving complex challenges. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on Power Platform expertise with strong architectural thinking and a commitment to mission-driven outcomes.
Core Responsibilities:
· Provide technical leadership and strategy in the development of enterprise applications.
· Deliver hands-on Power Platform development to streamline and automate organizational business processes.
· Develop application Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) and Minimal Viable Products (MVPs) to demonstrate and iteratively build on their business value and functionality.
· Integrate Power Platform with other systems using Azure, Data Factory, Data Flows, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and custom connectors.
· Assess business needs and recommend a suitable and optimal technology stack.
Required Skills:
· Minimum of 7 years with hands-on professional experience developing applications using Microsoft Dynamics, D365, and Power Platform including Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse, and Power Pages.
· Minimum of 8 years of total IT experience.
· Expert capabilities and knowledge developing in Power Platform and Dynamics.
· Strong experience Integrating Power Platform with other systems using Azure, Data Factory, Data Flows, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and custom connectors.
· Lead the definition of back-end solutions for Power Platform, including Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, or other databases.
· Experience working on a Scrum team using a ticket management system (Azure DevOps or Jira)
· Exemplary communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Microsoft Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform Azure and / or Dynamics 365.
· Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government agencies, especially DHS or USCG.
· Agile certification (Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent).
Active DoD clearance or DHS HSPD-12 credential.
