As a Senior Scrum Master on a TrueTandem Cloud and Application Development team supporting the Intelligence Community (IC), you will enable high-velocity, agile delivery for mission-critical software systems and cloud modernization initiatives. The team designs, develops, and sustains solutions within secure government environments, leveraging Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, and modern DevSecOps practices.
You will partner closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Technical Leads to eliminate delivery obstacles, optimize workflow transparency, and drive measurable sprint outcomes that align to mission value. This position demands excellence in Agile facilitation, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of technical delivery environments within classified domains.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Facilitates all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives) with discipline and purpose.
· Manages sprint metrics, capacity planning, and velocity tracking using Azure DevOps and Microsoft tools.
· Creates and manages detailed Agile board items, ensuring completeness of acceptance criteria, proper estimation, and effective sprint planning integration.
· Translates objectives into actionable user stories and tasks on the Agile board, maintaining visibility, accountability, and alignment with sprint goals.
· Drives continuous improvement and Agile maturity across multiple concurrent development projects.
· Removes blockers by coordinating cross-team dependencies, engaging leadership, and aligning resources.
· Coaches team members and stakeholders on Agile values, servant leadership, and iterative delivery.
· Partners with the Product Owner (or stakeholders) to refine and prioritize backlogs for optimal value delivery.
· Ensures transparent communication and collaboration across security, infrastructure, and development teams.
· Champions automation, data-driven insights, and quality practices consistent with DevSecOps principles.
Required Skills
A minimum of TS/SCI with CI polygraph
· 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development.
· 2+ years facilitating Agile teams within secure (TS/SCI or higher) government environments.
· Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM), SAFe SPC, or PMI-ACP.
· Demonstrated experience using Azure DevOps (Boards, Pipelines, Metrics) or Jira to manage Agile workflows.
· Proven record of increasing sprint velocity and delivery predictability by 20% or more.
· Advanced knowledge of Agile, Kanban, and scaled Agile (SAFe) frameworks.
· Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills under pressure.
· Ability to coordinate technical delivery across infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.
Preferred Skills
· Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies: Azure, Power Platform, and DevSecOps toolchains.
· Experience supporting hybrid government–contractor teams across multiple clearance levels.
· Background in cloud modernization or enterprise software transformation projects.
