TrustedHousesitters is a fast growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel.

Here at TrustedHousesitters, we’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, for their people, and for the global community of animal lovers who look after them. We’ve got big plans on becoming the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people. We’ve built something pretty special: a trusted place where pet owners and sitters connect to keep pets happy at home while their humans explore the world.

We’ve already grown into a global community with members in over 140 countries, a product people genuinely love, and a team of more than 100 brilliant humans powering it all.

But we’re only just getting started. Our goal? To grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people.

At the moment, a sit starts every two minutes somewhere on the planet. We want that to be every single minute and we know the only way we’ll get there is with the right people in the right roles.

The right people in the right roles will shape our future. So, here’s the big question: Could that be you?

About the Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on our Growth team, your mission is to help build the engine that drives our new member acquisition. Working closely with a team of other engineers and senior engineer leads, you will architect and build the platform and tools that give our marketing and content teams the speed and autonomy to test hypotheses, launch experiments, and scale our growth without engineering dependencies

This role is for an engineer with a focus for action. You understand that success is measured by solving business problems, not by lines of code. You thrive on iterating quickly to find what works, then pragmatically evolving the solution as needs change.

What you'll be responsible for

    • Building a Self-Serve Marketing Platform: You’ll drive a significant uplift in user acquisition by architecting and building features for a self-serve marketing platform (e.g., a headless CMS, dynamic page builder). So that marketing teams can launch campaigns content updates, A/B testing, and user journey customisation without engineering dependencies.

    • Design System as a Product: You’ll be a key contributor evolving our design system, treating it as an internal product, enabling developers and marketers to build high-quality, consistent UIs faster.

    • Implement a Modern, Scalable Frontend: You’ll implement new functionality and features within our Next.js and TypeScript stack, write high-quality, testable code, and collaborate with your team on best practices.

What you'll bring

    • You have 4+ years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining high-quality, complex web applications using Typescript, React, and Next.js.
    • You are a product-minded engineer who can abstract complex problems into elegant, reusable solutions and internal tools.
    • You have experience setting the technical direction for projects, driving consensus, and providing guidance to your peers.
    • You have experience building maintainable and testable codebases, and unit testing techniques.
    • You are an excellent communicator who thrives in a cross-functional environment, capable of partnering effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve shared goals.

Nice to Have

    • Knowledge of some backend technologies.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, product-led growth environment.
