About the Merchant Experience team
We are now looking to strengthen our team owning services directly facing our customers, it’s our business critical API as well as customer facing admin user interface. We operate in an agile culture combined with DevOps, allowing our teams to take on full responsibility from code to on-call.
About the role
As a Software Engineer focusing on frontend at Trustly, you will play a key role in designing and developing user interfaces that provide an exceptional user experience for our customer. As part of the larger team owning the full delivery of service you will contribute to the overall delivery and success by sharing experience, putting teamwork in focus and making sure we have fun at work.
What you'll do
- Actively contribute to the development and optimization of our frontend architecture.
- Work together with designers, engineers, and product managers to build the best possible user experience.
- Continuously improve the quality of the codebase, always keeping in mind up-to-date best practices for a safe, scalable, and reliable platform.
- Provide constructive code reviews to support our development team's continuous improvement.
Who you are:
- Proven experienced Software Engineer specialized in frontend with a strong portfolio showcasing your previous work.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
- Extensive experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with frontend testing tools such as jest, vitest, cypress, playwright or similar.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and connecting to backend services.
- Experience with Typescript.
- Experience with Git as version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
