About Mystery
Mystery is a platform for employee engagement powered by surprise and delight.
What does that mean? We've spent years perfecting the formula for a magical experience—leveraging hospitality integration, logistical solutions, and the science of surprise to maximize the enjoyment of any given experience. Combining those magical experiences with industry-leading technology, Mystery is the premiere solution for remote and hybrid businesses trying to keep their employees happy and feeling connected.
Since launching in February 2019, Mystery has found product-market fit multiple times, acquired more than 30,000 users, and worked with hundreds of companies including Amazon, Apple, Stripe, T-Mobile, Convoy, Tableau, Microsoft, and more. We've raised >$4M from Founder's Co-op, Goodwater Capital, Tuesday Capital, Basis Set Ventures, David Rosenthal (of the Acquired podcast), and more.
Mystery is a post-seed stage startup with competitive remote and hybrid perks. Come join a dynamic and innovative team that’s bringing surprise and delight back into people’s lives!

About the team & role
The Mystery Marketing Team is lean and mean. We own how and where the company communicates with all stakeholders (think web, sales materials, content creation, email marketing, branding, etc.). We're adding a new role to focus on data-driven digital growth marketing. This person will guide measurement frameworks, data strategy, performance analytics, and technology solutions to inform marketing and demand-driving efforts.
If you're a digital maverick—looking to put a range of skills to use and work cross-functionally in uncharted waters—this might be the role for you.

Skills & qualifications

    • 3+ years managing complex digital marketing and data analytics efforts
    • Strong experience with digital analytics, audience discovery and segmentation, measurement, and data quality
    • Proficient in SQL—able to perform advanced website and digital media analyses and then turn that data into beautiful dashboards in Metabase
    • Expert ability to turn data into digital strategy and execute on that strategy
    • Experience managing paid marketing efforts
    • Comfortable owning end-to-end marketing experimentation
    • Strong time management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
    • Highly organized and self-sufficient
    • Clear communication skills
    • Extensive experience with Hubspot (or other CRMs)

It's a plus if you...

    • Have experience working with a distributed team
    • Have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
    • Have experience in B2B marketing—specifically to People Ops and/or Human Resources
    • Like love dogs (or cats I guess)

We have teammates in multiple countries, states, and cities who work the hours that are best for them and their teams. Whether you want to work from a parking lot in between surf sessions on a Friday or you want to be in our Seattle-based office five days a week and chat around the metaphorical water cooler, choose what's best for you.
-Unlimited vacation days (mandatory 10 business days)
-Work from wherever
We strongly believe that being a hybrid workplace doesn't mean you should ever lack connection to your peers, leadership, or organization as a whole. Maintaining a culture of positivity, encouragement, growth, and connection is a top priority with each addition we make to our rapidly growing team.
When our team is happy and learning and growing, we're growing. Mystery encourages each employee to take advantage of a substantial annual learning and development stipend.

Mystery is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We're committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applicants from all backgrounds and walks of life to apply. Mystery requires background checks for all positions; criminal records do not automatically disqualify a candidate for the role.
