As part of our IP Product Engineering team, you will be a valuable contributor within as a Principal Database Administrator.   You will work directly with the team to identity the design needs of the new or modified application features and production sustainment. The Principal Database Administrator will have a seat at the table in all meetings such as project planning, estimation, standups, and stakeholder show & tell.

What you’ll be doing:

    • Oversee and manage all IP database implementations, including design, architecture, implementation, and ongoing support and compliance.
    • Participate in active discussions or product specific standups regarding new features for future projects.
    • Contribute to the Architecture/Design framework.

Job Requirements

    • Provide after hours support for Critical customer DB related outages when needed.
    • Be available for after-hours maintenance windows when needed.
    • Able to work in US Hours or at least have some overlap. 

What skills you’ll need:

    • Experience in monitoring and tuning databases
    • Proficient in writing SQL Queries and Stored Procedures
    • Advanced TSQL tuning is desired.
    • Experience with setting up Disaster Recovery setup within different Cloud Regions.
    • Experience with Sql Development as code
