Director of Pre-Sales Consulting

Manage a team of Pre-Sales Product Consultants responsible for evangelizing Tubular solutions to prospects and customers during the selling process. The Manager will align team goals and activities with our go-to-market strategy to ensure the company achieves product/solution adoption and revenue targets. This role works closely with the Sales, Customer Success, Product, Sales Enablement and Marketing teams and reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.


    • Help the sales team exceed targets by successfully managing and optimizing the Pre-Sales team processes, ensuring that they are driving shorter sales cycles, higher ARR, and higher win rate
    • Design, implement, and evolve a pre-sales strategy that maximizes opportunity qualification and effectiveness of early sales cycle activities (demos, establishing business value/case) so that sellers can focus more time on closing deals
    • Manage Trial Process for all Prospects, driving towards higher Trial conversion and win rates
    • Establish and follow a goal-oriented plan along with key performance metrics (KPI’s) to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
    • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring for all roles on the Pre-Sales team
    • Collaborate closely with Customer Success and/or Professional Services to provide them with the information to optimize the prospect/account handoff in order to best onboard and support customers
    • Support Product Marketing Management in the development of Sales Enablement curricula/materials
    • Provide feedback to Product Management on insights that are uniquely gained during early lifecycle activities


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5-7 years of working experience
    • A high level of optimism and people skills to foster a strong team
    • Previous management experience
    • Highly organized, metrics driven with the ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated to support pipeline development
    • Passion for prospecting and sales best practices
    • Strong business sense and industry experience
    • Ability to understand prospect business needs, align Tubular value with use cases, articulate product features and explain the ROI to customers
    • Experience with Salesforce and desire to identify other selling technology to drive scale
    • Demonstrated success in a Pre-Sales role with a SaaS company
