Role Overview

We need a Vice President of Account Management to drive our client engagement strategy, ensuring Tunnl delivers best-in-class insights and solutions that power audience intelligence and strategic decision-making.

This executive will oversee the Account Management Team, ensuring clients maximize the value of Tunnl’s platform and services. They will play a key role in retention, revenue expansion, and deepening client relationships. A strong foundation in survey research and market intelligence is required to guide clients through sophisticated audience analysis and insights. Specifically, they will be working alongside Sales, Product, and Strategic Research - a specialized group supporting complex client projects requiring advanced survey and analytics capabilities. This collaboration will be essential in delivering deeper insights and customized solutions for Tunnl’s most sophisticated clients. As a result, this role will directly impact Tunnl’s client strategy and overall success as we continue to scale. 

The Vice President of Account Management will sit within the Revenue division (comprising Sales, Marketing and Account Management) at Tunnl. This person will report to the CRO, manage the AM team (~7 employees total) with the likely possibility of other/net-new functions. The role is hybrid with the expectation that someone would be in office 3-4 days/week, based out of our Arlington, VA headquarters.

Who You Are

You are a strategic executive with a strong foundation in survey research and market intelligence, capable of transforming insights into actionable client strategies. With deep client-facing experience within SaaS, data, or research-driven organizations, you excel at driving client retention, revenue growth, and high-impact customer engagement. You thrive in fast-paced, data-driven environments, collaborating across departments to align solutions with customer needs while leading and scaling high-performing teams.

* Strong understanding of survey research, including design, fielding, and analysis, and how it informs marketing and media strategies
* Proven track record leading account management, client success, or customer strategy teams in SaaS, data, or research-driven organizations
* Ability to build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders, guiding them in leveraging audience intelligence
* Deep experience driving client retention, revenue growth, and upsell/cross-sell strategies within a B2B environment
* Strong analytical mindset with expertise in audience insights, performance metrics, and market research to inform strategic decisions
* Executive presence with the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders, present complex insights clearly, and influence decision-making
* Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Marketing to ensure customer needs shape business priorities
* Ability to scale and optimize customer-facing teams, ensuring operational efficiency and strong client outcomes
* Adaptability and innovation in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with a focus on improving customer experience and account strategies.

What You’ll Do: 

Day to Day
* Lead and mentor the Account Management team, ensuring high-quality client service and engagement.
* Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture focused on delivering value to clients.
* Serve as a trusted advisor, aligning Tunnl’s solutions with client goals in brand strategy and public affairs.
* Provide strategic insights and recommendations to maximize the value clients derive from Tunnl’s offerings.
* Partner with Sales, Product, and Marketing to evolve solutions based on client needs.
* Oversee customer feedback loops, driving product innovation and service enhancements.
* Own the client journey, from onboarding to renewals, ensuring seamless execution of key milestones.
* Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities that drive additional value for clients.
* Advocate for client needs to inform product development and service strategies.

* Refine Tunnl’s approach to market research and survey insights, ensuring clients receive best-in-class audience intelligence.
* Partner with Sales to enhance client growth strategies and upsell opportunities.

In 90 days, you’ll…
* Implement new processes and tools to enhance customer experience and deepen strategic relationships.
* Deliver a data-driven plan for scaling the Account Management and Customer Success functions.
* Ensure a seamless connection between Tunnl’s audience research capabilities and client strategy execution.

In a year,  you’ll…
* Establish Tunnl as the go-to provider for audience intelligence solutions, with clients deeply engaged and seeing measurable impact.
* Drive substantial revenue growth through strategic account management and retention efforts.
* Lead innovation in how Tunnl delivers survey-driven audience insights, influencing marketing, media, and public affairs strategies at scale.
