Tutor Intelligence is seeking a mechanical engineer to help us build the next generation of accessible and intelligent robot hardware. In this role, you will build robot grippers, enclosures, auxiliary actuated devices, and mounts/connections. You will own the lifecycle of many projects, from ideation through design, sourcing, and production.

At Tutor, projects move fast and change frequently. It is unlikely you will work on a single one for more than a few weeks in a row. We’re a small startup with an even smaller hardware team. You will work on a lot of things here.

Our process works like this:
You apply, and we look at your resume.
If we like what we see, we will send you a design challenge.
If that goes well, we’ll invite you to come build with us for a day.

Requirements

    • Pretty good with CAD (Solidworks preferred)
    • Built a lot of stuff
    • Likes to design hardware
    • Can work pretty fast
    • Can learn / figure out pretty much anything
