Client Lead / Account Lead / Client Relationship Lead

Leads the day-to-day relationship with the client and gives clear, decisive and thoughtful direction on individual projects. Thinks beyond the day-to-day to next 3 months & can see and plan for longer term opportunities. Responsible for quality of output and efficiency of how the account is run.

Responsibilities

    • Proactively own the client relationship, growth, and longevity
    • Investigate and understand the client's goals and KPIs
    • Uncover clients’ challenges & priorities
    • Research the client’s markets and provide strategic insights, ideas and solutions to ensure the best possible results from projects and overall client relationships.
    • Look ahead to understand what's changing for the client.
    • Develop strong one to one relationships with key clients and be able to hold their own with senior stakeholders internally and externally. Seen as the first port of call to resolve any issues on projects.
    • Motivates and manages the broader team including creatives.
    • Ensures resource is used efficiently at the right time and helps internal departments plan for what’s ahead effectively
    • Leads the agency relationship with other agency partners.
    • A positive force who can solve most problems themselves but also highly effective at managing upwards.
    • Can navigate through all the exciting innovation in the market to distil smart ideas of what the client could do beyond the day to day to make a different to their business.
    • An integral part of the interagency group they meet with all agencies regularly and are a trusted member of the team.
    • Responsibility to help the project team be highly collaborative.
    • Proactively explore opportunities to expand existing client spend.
    • Responsible for ensuring that agreed scope and fee align and will work with BD to adjust where needed.
    • In partnership with the Director of Marketing & Strategic Lead, explore new scope of works and lead quoting discussions with clients. / Will spot organic growth opportunities and discuss and negotiate project fees with clients where appropriate.
    • Manages team effectively
    • Own project financials/managing and forecasting budgets.
    • Owns the commercial success of the client account through delivery of experience, outcomes and increased revenue.

Requirements

    • At least 8+ years experience as an Account Director / Client Lead in a top-tier agency or consultancy, or Marketer in consumer brand or tech company, delivering Client projects in a similar environment and level and growing accounts.
    • Strategic approach to solving problems and identifying creative solutions
    • Natural relationship builder, able to build trust and respect with clients and your team, leading with diplomacy and empathy.
    • Ability to see the “big picture” and prioritize appropriately by focusing on work that will deliver the highest impact to the client
    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
    • Self starter and sharp business acumen
    • Confident at making commercial decisions that are right for 21Cb and the client
    • high level of emotional intelligence and demonstrate active listening skills in your approach
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
