The esports department at Twitch is looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our team in San Francisco. As an esports program manager, you will work directly with stakeholders across Twitch, development studios, game publishers, production partners, influencers, and tournament organizers to drive game category growth and program success. You will be responsible for managing ongoing business relationships with content partners, identifying opportunities to create and own new initiatives, deeply understand analytics to identify and act upon learnings, project manage and plan events, and elevate the success of broadcasters throughout the space.

Esports Program Managers work closely with Twitch Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, Legal, Finance, and Community teams.

Responsibilities

    • Own the game or category vertical and act as subject matter expert across Twitch  
    • Manage key stakeholder relationships between Twitch, game developers, and production partners
    • Provide analytical insights for current performance trends, and create plans around opportunities within the space 
    • Develop detailed program operational plans to meet stakeholders needs
    • Manage program budgets and vendor relationships

Requirements

    • Experience owning the end to end operation of a product launch or program
    • Bachelors of business, management, science, or similar
    • Minimum 3 years in game development, publishing, tournament operation, sports broadcast production, or related field
    • Familiar with features and user scenarios for twitch platform and features
    • Demonstrated Operational Agility
    • A strong commitment to go the extra mile. It’s the little details that separate good from great
    • The interpersonal skills required to navigate a multiple-stakeholder environment as part of a cross-functional team. You know how to get buy-in from all levels
    • Knowledge of the fighting game community: it’s intricacies, and how to operate within it

Bonus Points

    • Experiencing working with 3rd party vendors, contracts, and budget management
    • Formal project management, SCRUM or Agile training strongly preferred
    • A native grasp of gaming culture and lingo. We strive to build authentic experiences for our discerning customers

    • A passion for games of all kind, both digital and physical (card, board, tabletop, etc)
