We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer who can lead hardware development for a robotics project, emphasizing reliable peripheral equipment. The right candidate will be proficient in advanced mechanical engineering, collaborating with specialized engineers for reliability and manufacturability. You will coordinate cross-functional teamwork, guide the team to meet milestones, ensure system architecture prioritizes long-term reliability, and demonstrate proactive decision-making for the success of the final product.


Responsibilities: Product Leadership

    • Lead projects for hardware development focused on designing and optimizing reliable peripheral equipment for use around the robotics system.
    • Bring in experience in developing products with a strong emphasis on reliability throughout the entire product lifecycle.
    • Drive the project from concept to market delivery, ensuring all engineering aspects meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities: Mechanical Design

    • Utilize advanced mechanical engineering skills with a focus on proven product development, including design, prototyping, and optimization.
    • Collaborate with specialized mechanical engineers for detailed mechanical design, emphasizing reliability and manufacturability.
    • Ensure the mechanical integrity, durability, and efficiency of the system components for long-term product success.

Responsibilities: Team Coordination and Productization

    • Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware engineers, and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of reliable mechanical components.
    • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging effective communication within the team, emphasizing the importance of reliability in the final product.
    • Coordinate efforts to inspire and guide the team towards meeting project milestones and delivering a reliable product.
    • Facilitate cross-functional teamwork, leveraging the strengths of each team member for the successful productization of the project.

Responsibilities: System Architecture for Reliability

    • Design the overall system architecture with a strong focus on reliability, emphasizing the integration of mechanical components with hardware, low-level control systems, and communication protocols.
    • Ensure a holistic approach to system design that optimizes mechanical performance, long-term reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities: Decision Making

    • Work independently to lead the mechanical and hardware engineering aspects of the project, drawing on deep experience to make crucial technical decisions without waiting for directives.
    • Demonstrate a proactive and results-oriented approach to project management with an emphasis on the reliability and success of the final product.

Qualifications

    • Proven experience in leading hardware development projects with a strong emphasis on product reliability and successful market launches.
    • Expertise in mechanical design, prototyping, and optimization for industrial systems, specifically with a focus on reliability.
    • Strong understanding of system architecture, integration, and interdisciplinary collaboration for reliable product development.
    • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, emphasizing the importance of reliability in the final product.
    • Hands-on experience in contributing to the development of reliable products for industrial applications.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
¥10,000,000 - ¥15,000,000 a year
This role will be eligible for the Company's stock option program.
Position Location will be at Telexistence's Headquarters Office (Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) or another location designated by the company.
