This role focuses on automation of custom made manipulators, aiming to automate convenience store operations without human intervention at a high success rate, by developing perception modules.
The focus will be to leverage sensor data (RGB data, Depth data, and others) and manipulators, and improve the existing system to further automate its success rate. In addition, this role also focuses on implementing clean and scalable software architecture, using C++ and ROS. Unlike other positions in automation team, system integration engineer would be required to have broad knowledge across control, perception and software engineering, and its responsibility will be to “glue” components together, while also have some basic knowledge to optimize and improve performance of each other. Additionally, we would expect them to develop unique algorithms that combines both domain knowledge from motion and perception areas. Thus, we appreciate a personnel interested in both motion and perception areas, as well as in software engineering. We strongly believe that our robots would provide great impact to the current and future market , and looking forward to have more people agreeing and joining our team.

Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development of an automation system using custom hardware, by developing sophisticated software architecture and algorithms for perception and motion control system.
    • Work with other automation engineers and achieve priorities and goals set by CxOs .
    • Break up vague goals into concrete steps and manage your own timeline to achieve company goals.
    • Accurately analyze the problem and data, evaluate and deploy the system to the product with safety and stability taken into account, within given timelines.
