About the role

Initially, the focus of this role will be to help deliver Tyro's CPS 230 Operational Resilience project.
Once the project is completed, focus will then shift to ensuring ongoing compliance with core elements of CPS 230, specifically:
·       Managing the risks associated with service providers.
·       Compliance with the service provider management policy
·       Providing assurance over in-life contract management controls.

What you'll do

    • Uphold and contribute to Tyro’s strong risk culture by complying with our policies, completing mandatory training and identifying and managing risks within your day-to-day work

    • Delivery of Tyro’s CPS 230 Operational Risk Management implementation:
    • Support the Head of Operational Risk in delivering a project to uplift Tyro’s practices to meet the new CPS 230 requirements.
    • Collaborate with relevant departments to assess and enhance existing processes and controls to meet the standard's specifications.
    • Document these processes and controls in our enterprise risk management system.
    • Provide training and guidance to relevant teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements.

    • Service provider assurance:
    • Develop and maintain a service provider management policy and assurance program to assess and manage risks and controls.
    • Conduct risk assessments of existing and potential service providers in collaboration with the business, ensuring adherence to organisational standards and policies.
    • Monitor the management of key and material contracts to ensure compliance with agreed thresholds and regulatory requirements (e.g. CPS230, CPS234).
    • Maintain a register of material service providers.

    • Change Management assurance:
    • Work with key stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with organisational change.
    • Assess the impact of business and strategic decisions on operational risk profiles and operational resilience in conjunction with the business during planning processes.
    • Evaluate project delivery frameworks, risks, and controls to validate the effectiveness of change management.
    • Uphold and contribute to Tyro’s strong risk culture by complying with our policies, completing mandatory training and identifying and managing risks within your day-to-day work

What you'll bring

    • Experience working in a risk, compliance and/or audit role, in a technology company or business unit operating in the finance or payments industry.
    • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
    • Strong reporting skills – attention to detail with a data-driven / analytical approach.
    • A team player who can work autonomously and is adaptable to change.
