Data Architect/Scientist Lead
U.Group is looking for a Data Architect or Data Science Lead to help us stand up and operate a $100+ mil program supporting a large scale effort with a government agency. Our team will be operating and modernizing complex, legacy, large-scale, Internet facing websites and IT systems in the cloud using forward-thinking, modern, open source technologies and backend systems with heavy customer engagement. In this role, you would help run operational leadership of the production function of the Data science across numerous pods of teams delivery on this project over the next three years. You will also be one of the main client facing points of contact for discussing progress and needs around your functional teams. We are looking for leads with experience managing work in a large scale government contract.
What you need:
Shall have a minimum of ten (10) years of IT experience, focusing on data architecture or data services inclusive of the following:
Shall have three (3) years of experience leading data teams in such efforts as: data migration, transformation, data lake implementation/support as well as O&M.
Shall have at least five (5) years of proven expertise in Relational and Dimensional Data Modeling
Must have experience of cloud architecture, specifically AWS, as it relates to data processing (i.e., EC2, S3, Redshift, etc.)
Shall have experience briefing the benefits and constraints of technology solutions to technology partners, stakeholders, team members, and senior levels of management
Shall have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in data science, engineering, statistics
