Position Summary:
The responsibilities of the supplier quality engineer include providing direction to supplier manufacturing and QA to ensure their processes and production controls are appropriate and accurately measured. Manage corrective actions and process improvements throughout the supply chain, assisting all strategic suppliers in resolving issues surrounding specifications, process control, and procedures and works to address any SCARs/8D, etc.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Communicate quality issue with internal team and suppliers including local supplier and CKD supplier. 
2. Ensure components meet UEI specification and support factory with timely issue resolution for nonconforming material during NPI and mass production.
3. Provides direction to supplier manufacturing and QA to ensure their processes and production controls are appropriate and accurately measured. Manage corrective actions and process improvements throughout the supply chain.
4. Strong but tactful leadership skills required to drive best supplier manufacturing practices, cost control in the whole production cycles.
5.  Manage supplier part qualification & approval process, ensure the smooth transaction from NPI to mass production phase.
6. Leads supplier qualification efforts in order to assure consistent delivery of products to meet the business forecasts.
7. Drive continuous improvement to achieve a short time to quality, to meet quality target and lower costs.
8. Assist all strategic suppliers in resolving issues surrounding specifications, process control, and procedures and works to address any SCARs/8D.
9.  Able to drive supplier improvement through problem solving tools including design of experiments (DOE), Failure mode analysis (FMEA) and statistical process control principles (SPC).
10. Other job dully assigned by Manager.

Qualifications - Knowledge & Experience:
1.  5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering with mechanical areas (Plastics, Package, Rubber & Metal dome keypad etc.) in multi-national companies.  
2.  NPI SQE experience in Plastics, Package, Rubber and Metal dome keypad is preferred.
3. Knowledge in QA/QC tools such as 6 Sigma, DOE, SPC, ISO, MSA, PFMEA, DFM.
4. Certified or trained in ISO, TS certification are necessary.
5. Self- motivated; work independently, and teamwork ability.
6.  Ability to communicate both verbally and written in Chinese; also understand written English well.
7.  Have excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail.
8. Should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and an eye for supply quality control.
9.  Ability to travel as needed.
 
Education, Licenses & Certification:
BS or MS degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related domain.
 
Work Conditions:
+ 48hours per week.
+ Working in the office, the production area.
+ Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
