Position Summary
UAA is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager with strong knowledge of accounting and managerial skills to ensure our financial reporting and all of the transactional activity thereunder are accurate and timely. The Corporate Accounting Manager will support the VP of Finance & Accounting by managing the daily operation of accounting functions through oversight of the accounting team. We are seeking an individual who is detailed oriented, has a commitment to excellence in their work, is a team player, and is an experienced accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end close process by tracking and reviewing the work of senior accountants and bookkeepers to produce a timely and accurate trial balance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and support for their professional growth
- Own the month-end reporting package and use insights from close review to provide variance analysis to the VP and Director of FP&A
- Oversee and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure that the organization's accounting records, and financial statements are accurate and timely and in accordance with GAAP
- Serve as the primary POC for external auditors, preparing, reviewing and organizing deliverables to ensure a timely delivery of the annual audit
- Implement and continuously improve financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts
- Oversee accounting systems including connection of AP and treasury systems to the ERP, and new ERP implementation
- Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the accounting profession; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes
- Assist the Director of FP&A with the budget process through data collection
- Work remotely with 5%-10% travel
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn accounting software including: NetSuite, Acumatica, Quickbooks Online, etc
- ERP implementation experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with PowerBI preferred
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- CPA required
- At least three to five years of public accounting experience, or five to ten years of corporate accounting experience
- Some healthcare industry experience preferred

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
