Skin Artisans at Edina Plastic Surgery is a premier medspa offering advanced skincare, aesthetic treatments, and wellness services. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support Dr. Allison, our Cosmetic Medicine Physician, in a full-time traveling Cosmetic Assistant role across our three metro locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, professional, and patient-focused environment.
Job Summary:
The Cosmetic Assistant will travel to one clinic per day and assist Dr. Allison with cosmetic medicine procedures and patient care. Duties include assisting with vaginal rejuvenation treatments, performing blood draws, preparing injectable treatments, ordering lab tests and hormone therapies, and providing overall clinical support.
Travel between Edina, Minnetonka, and Woodbury, MN is required
Key Responsibilities:
* Travel to assigned clinic location each day to support Dr. Allison
* Prepare and maintain clean, well-stocked treatment rooms
* Assist with vaginal rejuvenation laser treatments, including retraction as needed
* Perform blood draws and prepare PRP as directed
* Assist with drawing up neurotoxins and organizing treatment supplies
* Enter lab orders and follow up as needed
* Order bioidentical hormone therapies (BHRT) including testosterone and estradiol
* Apply topical numbing cream prior to procedures
* Support patient comfort and provide education throughout treatments
* Collaborate with clinical and front desk teams to ensure a seamless patient experience
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent (required)
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR phlebotomy license with blood draw experience (required)
* 2–5 years of experience in a clinical, dermatology, or medspa setting (preferred)
* Comfortable assisting in intimate procedures and discussing women's health topics
* Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
* Reliable transportation to travel to multiple locations
* Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a care team
