Position Summary
UAA is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Analyst with strong knowledge of transaction level detail and financial reports and a focus on ensuring that accuracy and timeliness is a key priority. The Senior Accounting Analyst plays a key role in delivering actionable information based on financial data to drive organizational goals. The senior accounting analyst will work closely with both the local office administrators of Edina Plastic Surgery (EPS) and the corporate accounting & finance team to manage daily financial activities and monthly reporting & analysis.  We are seeking an accounting professional who is detailed oriented, committed to executing an accurate work product in a timely manner, displays collaboration in all interactions, and has a passion for data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
•Manage the full cycle accounting process for EPS, including but not limited to preparing journal entries, maintenance of accounting records such as general ledger, accounts payable, and depreciation schedules.  
•Partner closely and successfully with the EPS administrative staff to solve problems, analyze data, and provide timely information to the team to aid in the successful execution of operational duties. 
•Establish and execute timely month-end close procedures.  
•Allocate revenue and expenses to appropriate locations and create location-specific financials to analyze contribution margin and enable better operational decision making.
•Analyze, interpret, and communicate cost and expense variances to management.
•Analyze revenue and service mix trends for weekly reporting to FP&A Director.
•Oversee and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure that the organization's accounting records, and financial statements are accurate and timely and in accordance with GAAP.  
•Perform monthly physician compensation and biweekly provider commission calculations.  
•Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit.
•Implement and improve financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts.
•Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the accounting profession; apply this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes.
•Work hybrid (3 or 4 days/week) from the local office (Edina, MN) with potential for 1-2 trips per year to corporate HQ in San Antonio.
•Performs other duties as assigned.  

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting required from an accredited four-year University
•At least three to five years of general accounting experience required
•Previous experience in medical a strong plus
