WHY WE NEED YOU 
We are inviting collaborative and detail-oriented “drivers” with a passion for connecting dots for organization-wide alignment toward shared finish lines to apply for our Director, Organizational Performance role.

You will contribute to creating high-performing organization by successfully engaging in Board Relations, overseeing strategic organizational calendars, and managing key projects on behalf of the Executive Office.  

You will have the unique opportunity to translate the organization’s vision for a more inclusive community where everyone benefits from new models of shared prosperity into solid strategy and implementation plans with strong and clear KPIs. 

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAUSE

    • Executive Support:
    •                      o   Serve as a strategy partner to the President & CEO and the Executive Team, providing insight and analysis on the organization’s operations and key decisions that are both analytical and qualitative, leveraging IQ and EQ
                           o   Support the workload of the President & CEO by managing information flow, resolving issues, delegating to the appropriate teams and individuals
                           o   Understanding the key initiatives and workstreams the President & CEO and Executive Team are focused on to drive progress and successful outcomes against these priorities
                           o   Lead and manage the planning and facilitation of organization’s Executive Team meetings, Leadership team meetings and All Staff meetings including agenda setting focused on clear outcomes, guiding the discussion, and identifying action items and next steps
    • Board Management:
    •                      o   Support the President & CEO and Board Chair in the planning, day-of-preparation, facilitation, and closing out of quarterly Board meetings and annual Board Retreats
                           o   Set the agenda, coordinate logistics, send communications, and facilitate Nominating and Executive Committee meetings
                           o   Manage ongoing Board relations, including general communications, orientation, and engagement
    • Organization Effectiveness:
    •                      o   Provide direction for the development of organization-wide metric dashboards that will evaluate progress and ensure the organization is on-track to achieve long-term and short-term strategic plan goals
                           o   Oversee the development and implementation of a system for tracking, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan implementation across the organization
                           o   Oversee cross-departmental workstreams in an effort aligned with organizational need to promote the execution of short term and long-term goals
                           o   Audit organizational processes and systems and make recommendations to President & CEO and Executive Team for improvements
                           o   Oversee the creation of an organization-wide calendar and meeting matrix containing board meetings, leadership meetings, org-wide meetings, key events, milestones, and deadlines
                           o   Ensure alignment and consistent creation of high-quality OKR across departments and individual staff members
                           o   Ensure data insights and analysis inform decision making and planning
    • Organizational Planning & Project Management:
    •                      o   Oversee the annual strategic planning and organizational goal setting process
                           o   Lead high-priority special projects including strategic planning and other key strategic initiatives
                           o   Oversee project performance, timelines and deliverables to signature projects and provide direction and support to cross-departmental project teams and oversee all project deliverables using appropriate project management tools
                           o   Work with Executive Team to ensure consistent implementation plans that are tied to the organization's overall strategic plan
                           o   Advise Executive Team on best practices for implementation of their respective elements of the strategic plan
    • Team Management & Development:
    •                      o   Mentor and coach team to grow skillsets, support individual professional development goals, and inspire team members to both lead and follow.
                           o   Provide direct but respectful constructive feedback in real-time and during formal review periods to elevate team performance, maintain accountability, and reach goals.

    • The organization has clear strategies, implementation plans and performance objectives that are consistent in quality across departments and people leaders
    • The organization has clear performance metrics and dashboards to drive accountability and focus
    • The organization maximizes its meetings and convenings with thoughtful planning, agendas, recommendations for review and clear action items for follow-up
    • Key initiatives and projects have clear project plans that are monitored and reported on
    • The organization identifies key processes and charts process improvement to heighten employee and stakeholder satisfaction
    • Consistent communication is developed to highlight progress on the organization’s mission and strategic plan
    • The organization will maximize its investment in training by ensuring consistent implementation of tools and practices

SKILLS YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED (The Must-Haves)

    • Education & Experience:
    •                      o   Bachelor’s degree required; PMP certification a plus
                           o   Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in project management, operations, business intelligence, organizational development, organizational effectiveness, or leadership development
                           o   Minimum 3 years of experience supervising and developing direct reports
    • Personal Qualities:
    •                      o   You enjoy a hybrid environment that includes both in-person and remote work styles and are able to work from our DTLA office on Tuesdays and Thursdays
                           o   You are able to provide documentation of your status as fully vaccinated with primary series of COVID-19 vaccine upon being hired.
                           o   You understand the value of racial equity as an organizational operating principle and are committed to continued learning on issues related to race, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Hiring Salary Range: $100,000-130,000 dependent on internal equity and a variety of job-related factors including, but not limited to, experience, training, education, and market demands.
    • The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 403(b) plan, pension, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, paid holidays, and paid time off.
