Survey Technician II

Job Responsibilities:
- Familiar with deed plotting, plotting field maps, drafting from survey point data, point data rotation and checking, point file setup for field stakeout or survey, and familiarity with survey notes.
- Create and interpret 3D surface models, triangulated irregular networks, and contours.
- Prepare construction staking data for field crews using construction plan sets.
- Create points, centerlines, and profiles for construction staking.
- Process and interpret survey data collected in the field.
- Perform research and gather data for new and ongoing projects.
- Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records.
- Collaborate with planners, project managers, and engineers regarding projects.
- Interact daily with field crews and provide direction and support for ongoing projects.
- Potential for occasional fieldwork, including county research and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of Survey work experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Ability to process survey field data, prepare survey drawings, research property information, prepare plotting and mapping.
- Wide range of experience in all types of surveys and construction layouts.
- The ability to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients.
- General knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Earth Pro.
- Good at spoken and written communication.
- Attention to detail.
