As a Field Services Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and leading field operations for construction and material testing and geotechnical monitoring projects in the Southern California area. Your mission is to ensure that our technicians and inspectors are well informed of expectations, execute their fieldwork flawlessly, while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage project teams, budgets, schedules, delegate project tasks.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements, objectives, and potential risks.
    • Lead, mentor, train and inspire junior field technicians and inspectors.
    • Manage all aspects of field services, including making sure the right technicians/inspectors are in the field, making sure they understand the requirements of the project, and being the liaison between our professional office staff and our field staff.
    • Consulting with construction personnel concerning field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of activities.
    • Solve project-related issues promptly and effectively.
    • Provide direction to and supervision for junior level staff.
    • Oversee safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the field.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver on-time and on-budget solutions.
    • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in field operations.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field preferred, but not required.
    • 3+ years of proven experience in field services in the A/E/C industry.
    • Strong understanding of earthwork/grading operations.
    • Previous experience in the field as an ICC Certified Inspector with current certifications.
    • Leadership skills and a track record of managing successful teams.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.
    • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
    • A commitment to safety and quality. 
$40 - $45 an hour
*Pay is negotiable based on experience, skillset, and certification.*
