SUMMARY
Geotechnical drillers operate a drilling rig
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following:
Implement safety procedures on site.
Operate and maintain drill rigs, associated vehicles, and support equipment.
Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling.
Perform various drilling activities including soil drilling, rock coring, sampling, classification, in-situ testing, and monitoring well installation.
Provide leadership to drill crew and work as a member of a team.
Maintain necessary logs/records and file reports. 
Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2+ years as an operator of a geotechnical drill rig.
Extensive operation of CME brand drills, Truck and ATV mounted.
Experience in soil sampling, rock coring, wet rotary drilling, monitoring well and other geotechnical instrumentation.
General knowledge of soil & rock classifications (boring logs).
Knowledge of Texas Geology a plus.
Current Water Well Driller License a plus, but not required.
Travel as necessary to complete assigned projects.
Valid Class B CDL license is required.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
Pre-employment drug screen, driver's license evaluation, and background check results must meet company standards.
