Are you ready to get hands-on with materials that shape our world? We're looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Construction Materials Testing (CMT) lab! In this role, you'll perform essential testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to ensure safety, quality, and compliance. If you have an eye for detail and a passion for precision, this is your opportunity to build a strong career in a growing industry!
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete testing
- Maintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat order
- Assists in logging, storage, and disposal of samples
- Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications:
- High school degree
- Good oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilities
- Ability to effectively use computers
- Ability to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experience
- Knowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniques
- Required to stand for long periods of time
