Overview:
Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) has an opening in our Construction Services Department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.
As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for the various tasks outlined below. If you’re reliable, have a good work ethic, and can cooperate with co-workers and clients respectfully, this is the position for you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project
- Calculates cost and determines the feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data
- Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules, and designs for the project
- Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering test plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Directs where necessary activities at the project site
- Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
- Engineering Intern (E.I.) Certification required
- Valid DL
