Construction Materials Testing Field Technician

Our field technicians are responsible for conducting tests and inspections on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, and soil. Their role is to ensure that construction materials are meeting the required quality standards and specifications.
 
Prior certifications and experience are preferred, but not necessary. We teach and train on-site!

Job Responsibilities:

    • Conduct field tests and inspections of construction materials, such as concrete slump tests, density tests, and soil compaction tests, according to industry standards and specifications.
    • Collect samples of construction materials and transport them to the laboratory for analysis.
    • Record and document test results accurately and communicate findings to supervisors and project managers.
    • Operate and maintain testing equipment, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Ensure that all testing procedures are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety protocols and regulations.
    • Collaborate with other members of the project team, including engineers, contractors, and architects, to ensure that materials meet project specifications.
    • Prepare reports summarizing test results and communicate findings to project stakeholders
    • Keep up-to-date with industry standards and changes in technology related to materials testing.
    • Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Required Qualifications:

    • Willingness to learn and obtain new certifications.
    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Strong communication skills
    • Detail-oriented
    • Able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

    • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1
    • Nuclear Gauge Certified, Nuclear Gauge Safety
