Under the supervision of the Regional Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager develops relationships with clients and prospects and identifies opportunities for the Central and Northwest Arkansas areas.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to company growth by proactively working within select geographical markets to identify and secure business opportunities with public and private clients that may include government agencies, private companies, consulting firms, and contractors. The geographic areas generally include Little Rock, Ft. Smith, and Fayetteville/Springdale. Select markets include transportation, manufacturing, energy, institutional, and commercial development.
    • Provide continual development and maintenance of both internal (UES) and external relationships (clients, vendors, consultants).
    • Identify and evaluate potential new service offerings through discussions with existing and potential clients.
    • Assist with the development of proposals and presentations for prospective projects.
    • Provide constructive feedback throughout the year to assist project management employees with information on the market and required services.
    • Work closely with the corporate marketing staff to develop tools required for successful sales efforts.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or 4+ years of business development experience. Expertise/training in Engineering, Geology, Construction Management or related field is a plus. 
    • At least 4+ years of responsible experience in business development. Experience working in the engineering and construction trades is a plus. 
    • Demonstrated ability to win new business. Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service. 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. 
    • Fully qualified professional capable of exercising independent judgment in business development.
    • Ability to think conceptually and communicate with a multi-disciplined staff and clients. 
    • Ability to travel extensively and work with professional and administrative staff.
