MUST HAVE one or more of the ICC certifications (ICC Masonry, ICC Reinforced Concrete, ICC Post Tension Concrete, ICC Fire Proofing, ICC Building Inspector, ICC Mechanical, ICC Electrical, ICC Plumbing,  ICC Soils)

Job Responsibilities

    • Drive to job sites and conduct soils and other construction materials testing
    • Return samples to the office for laboratory testing
    • Read and accurately interpret construction plans and specifications
    • Write detailed daily reports summarizing test results and observations in accordance with applicable testing procedures
    • Inform field representatives of observation and test results
    • Ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
    • Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required
    • Ensure that project requirements are met and are compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures
    • Complete daily time and labor reports accurately in accordance with company policy
    • Follow all company safety procedures and policies
    • Pass required testing certification classes
    • Other duties may be assigned
    • Attend all Safety Meetings

Required Qualifications

    • Prior experience as field/engineering technician
    • MUST HAVE one or more of the ICC certifications (ICC Masonry, ICC Reinforced Concrete, ICC Post Tension Concrete, ICC Fire Proofing, ICC Building Inspector, ICC Mechanical, ICC Electrical, ICC Plumbing,  ICC Soils)
    • 2+ year(s) relevant experience performing special inspections on at least one type of construction material (such as soils, asphalt, masonry, concrete, structural steel)
    • Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and can adhere to company safe driving policies.
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent client relations skills
    • Ability to read and write, ability to use a computer
