SUMMARY
We are looking for a GEO Project Engineer for our Corpus Christi location. This position entails working on geotechnical-related projects on the coordination and execution of geotechnical field explorations, laboratory testing and evaluation of field and laboratory test data, geotechnical analyses, communication with our clients, and preparation of written geotechnical reports.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare various Geotechnical testing reports for clients
Analyze and review testing reports for commercial, industrial, retail, government, and residential
Project coordination and project management of Geotechnical work
Manage Geotechnical projects through their lifecycle
Assist project professionals with project execution, proposal and report preparation
Coordinate required testing/sampling with drill crews and assist with field activities as necessary
Interpret field data and assign laboratory testing
Communicate results of field and laboratory testing, and geotechnical recommendations, to clients


REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) for the State of Texas
Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience (post P.E. preferred)
Bachelors or Masters in Civil Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid Texas driver license


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) ABET from an accredited four-year college or university in civil engineering. Master’s level degree or exposure to core civil engineering disciplines through coursework (M.S. or Ph.D.) in geotechnical engineering preferred.
Familiarity with modern office tools including the use of computer-based programs such as gINT, DARWin, SLOPE/W, VOLFLO, gSTABL, SLIDE, Microsoft Excel, etc.
Must have a valid, Texas driver license, and satisfactory driving record


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
