About the job

Great opportunity for an experienced Account Manager from the payments industry to join an international fast-growing fin-tech company to become a key person in the region responsible for handling the merchants and customer relations operations in Kenya acting as a part of the Account Management Global Team.

Responsibilities:

    • Handling effectively the incoming leads, demonstrating technical selling skills and product knowledge, delivering effective presentations to potential and existing merchants
    • Relationship Management: establishing productive, professional relationships with merchants and leveraging those relationships to drive the best possible merchant experience
    • Commercial/Portfolio Growth: by focusing on meeting merchant needs, achieve strategic and financial targets for assigned merchant accounts
    • Feedback: serve as a feedback loop for the organization, gathering merchant’s feedback, evaluating the evolution of merchant needs, and communicating these to relevant functions
    • Managing the upscaling of the Account Management Department for our Kenya office, coordinating with departments and teams involved in the delivery of services

Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development in the payments/card acquiring industry. Having senior or executive experience would be highly advantageous
    • University degree or equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, or relevant field of study
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management
    • Ability to work independently, find solutions to complex challenges, possess strong organizational, ability to multitask and time management skills
