We partner with high-growth startups, enterprise merchants, and global platforms to deliver fast, reliable, and localized payment solutions that power commerce at scale.

About the Role
As a Product Manager focused on Payment Infrastructure, you will serve as Unlimit’s technical and operational lead for payment integrations in Nigeria. You will be responsible for managing relationships with banks and mobile money operators (e.g. OPay, PalmPay), ensuring stable, high-performing integrations with maximum uptime and success rates. You’ll act as the local point of contact for all provider-related technical flows and issue resolution, working directly with external provider engineering and support teams, while collaborating remotely with Unlimit’s product and development teams based at HQ. This role requires a strong mix of technical understanding, local market expertise, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Own and manage technical relationships with Nigerian banks and mobile money operators
    • Drive resolution of incidents and outages by working directly with provider engineering/support teams
    • Monitor and improve transaction success rates, latency, error rates, and SLAs across all Nigerian payment methods
    • Translate local provider documentation and behavior into actionable inputs for HQ product and engineering teams
    • Analyze failed transactions, trace logs, and summarize root causes with clarity
    • Document local integration flows, callback behaviors, edge cases, and known issues
    • Coordinate testing, QA, and rollout of new payment methods and provider connections
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in the Nigerian payments landscape and proactively identify risks and opportunities

What We’re Looking For

    • 5+ years of experience in payments, PSPs, banks, or fintech — ideally in a product, operations, or technical integration role
    • Deep understanding of Nigerian payment methods: NIP transfers, virtual accounts, mobile money (e.g., OPay), USSD, and card acquiring
    • Strong experience working with bank/payment APIs, handling callback/webhook issues, and understanding payment reconciliation flows
    • Confident with technical tools like Postman, Kibana, Datadog, and custom monitoring/reporting dashboards
    • Able to communicate with engineers on a technical level and translate for non-technical stakeholders
    • Excellent at managing provider relationships and pushing for performance improvements
    • Proactive, structured, and comfortable working across time zones with distributed teams
    • Bonus: hands-on experience at a PSP, digital wallet, or bank that built or maintained integrations

Why Join Us

    • Lead Unlimit’s local infrastructure efforts in Nigeria — one of Africa’s most dynamic payment markets
    • Work on critical rails powering large-scale digital commerce
    • Collaborate with global product and engineering teams at HQ while owning all local provider operations
    • Join a high-performance, fast-paced team that values clarity, execution, and ownership
    • Be part of something that’s reshaping digital payments across Africa
