About the Role

We are seeking a scientist / senior scientist. Initial responsibilities will include implementing and improving our whole-body perfusion system as well as developing physiological evaluation platforms to assess the viability of vascular systems and organ systems.

Key Responsibilities

    • Implement and modify our whole-body perfusion system, monitor and maintain central physiology parameters (pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood gas parameters etc).
    • Design and implement assays to assess organ, tissue and vascular damage following perfusion and cryopreservation.
    • Work with our team to optimize current perfusion protocol and propose novel perfusion and cryopreservation strategies.
    • Apply and communicate surgical expertise and medical insights to the team.

Qualifications

    • You’ve completed an MD, PhD or DVM, ideally in medical research. 
    • You have demonstrated expertise in rodent surgery.
    • You have demonstrated agency and rapid problem solving capability.  
    • You have demonstrated the passion to implement creative and novel approaches to solve multifaceted problems as they arise.
