Responsibilities:  
Working closely with the CRO and other members of the Risk team, review and enhance Upgrade's underwriting practice (credit policy, criteria, and model use) to achieve results within Upgrade's credit risk tolerance.  
Actively propose and/or review credit expansion and/or tightening efforts, clearly presenting and discussing alternatives, advantages, and disadvantages with Executive management based on supporting data and industry experience. 
Review proposed changes with Marketing and other stakeholders, balancing the full breadth of non-Credit issues in final decisions.
Manage credit model development efforts (internal or vendor), and support the timely implementation of models by Engineering. 
Support the evaluation of new vendors (alternative data providers, model developers, etc.) applicable to Upgrade's credit practice. 
Develop and manage periodic reporting to the Credit Risk Committee. 
Present key underwriting and front-end performance metrics and results to Executive management. 

Skills:
5+ years in Credit consumer credit risk role at a financial institution (traditional bank and/or startup lender) 
Bachelor's degree  
Detail oriented and strong analytic skill set 
Good communicator with the ability to discuss / present complex issues in a simple manner
Proactive, driven, and ability to work in a fast paced environment
